A great friend of mine, Katrina, has just started her own party plan business. I am a big supporter of party plan because it is often a great way of working for your dollar which allows you to maintain the work life balance you want, having your own little franchise that you can make work for yourself. And while this is technically not owned by Katrina, I think this company in particular has a great focus. It is focussing on liberating women and their sexuality in a positive way. Here is what Katrina says about her business;
"Pure Romance is a party plan business that showcases relationship aids in a safe, secure and non-judgemental way in the home. We offer products from bath and beauty products to lubricants and toys that women can use to help re-connect with their sexual self and with their partners. We have a range or products tailored to women battling serious illness like cancer, that are created to be incredibly gentle.
One of the things that attracted me to running this business is how I can help empower women and help them become better people and better sexual partners. There is something very special about being able to help a woman that has not had sex with their partner for weeks or even months re-connect with herself and her partner. We also help women who are battling (or just beaten) serious illness's like cancer re-connect with themselves and their partners.
I also love that I can run my business around being a mother and I don't have to sacrifice any of my special moments with my family to be at work full time. I run the business from home around my family commitments and when my partner is at home to help out. It also gives me a huge self worth being able to do something for myself, which ultimately benefits my family and helps other women."
